Sports are better than almost everything.
Growing up, sports took up most of my time. So as I got older, it’s no surprise I developed an interest in sports journalism to be able to offer my thoughts and opinions on the games I dedicated most of my adolescence to. And get paid for it.
I graduated from the University of South Carolina where I had probably too much fun but also found some time to intern with several major publications under a few great writers who helped develop my writing and reporting skills. I love the different sides of sports, the unique news, funny stories, and engaging features. Now I tell people about them for a living. Seems simple, but what could be better?
In the past few years, I’ve been lucky enough to witness No. 1 upsets, National Championships, SEC firsts and NBA worsts. I’ve stormed courts, made my way into pro locker rooms, cracked jokes with my heroes and watched idolized players cry on their mom’s shoulder in the hallway. This is the type of stuff I do… and it’s better than almost anything.
